Summer with Lottie

A quick catch up.

Just a quick note to get you up to date with Charlotte and her sister’s and their milestones. Charlotte started eating solids a week before she was 4 months and hasn’t looked back since. She will eat anything from puréed fruit to toast and marmalade! I have attached some photo’s for your perusal. We have just arrived back from a trip to Grans in Basingstoke where she had a lovely time playing with Gran and Uncle Simon. She particularly liked Gran’s lemon drizzle cake! Yes, I know what you’re thinking, she is only 5 months. She can stand and roll over from her back to her front. She spends most of her day sat up to play as she doesn’t like to lie down to play any more. She now weighs a staggering 18lbs 13ozs!

Alex got her SAT’s results back, they were very good: level 4 Maths, 4 Literature, 5 Science. These have earned her extra pocket money so well done Alex. On her last day at primary, Alex had a trip in a limousine with all her friends. they went bowling, had something to eat and were then dropped back off at school. It was a lovely treat for her and hopefully it will leave her with a lasting memory of her last day at primary school. She is now looking forward to starting high school.

Stephanie Has also completed her SAT’s in Maths and English but because of the governments new system, she hasn’t had her results and will have to wait until September. She also sat the last part of her first G.C.S.E in Science which she will also get the result of in September.

Stephanie went to her first ‘Gig’ last week, where she tasted life in the adult world, well she’s growing up fast and it’s hard to keep up with her. She has a better social life than we do!

Our Summer Holiday to Bridlington.

We had our first family holiday with Charlotte two weeks a go and she travelled like a true pro, sleeping all the way there and all the way back again. She particularly enjoyed the sand but wasn’t too keen on the sea. We went crabbing, but didn’t catch anything, Richard and Alex made a stick of rock at the rock factory and Stephanie and Alex made chocolate lollies. Charlotte and Mummy just watched whilst eating the free chocolate buttons!!!

We also visited York whilst up north, it was lovely. We walked along the shambles and ate fish and chips whilst a man in the street played chasing cars by snow patrol, very romantic if you discount the fact that we had a baby and two bored adolescents with us!

Oh No!

Charlotte is just getting over chickenpox. She was quite poorly for a few days but is back to her very active self again now. She had lots of spots and a high temperature, luckily most of the spots stayed away from her face so I don’t think they’ll scar.
