Well, that certainly wasn’t the weekend we were expecting!
Two big surprises, first our new baby arrives on it’s due date – the previous three were at least a week overdue. Secondly, we get a baby boy!
The mathematicians amongst you will quickly deduce that there was a 50% chance we’d have a boy – but we just assumed we would be having another girl for some reason.

It’ll be nice to have a bit of male support around the house from young Oscar – even the Cat and our 2 Rabbits are female.
Yvonne had a lot of work to do at the hospital, as Oscar was lying the wrong way round. He seemed to be rather comfy where he was, and showed no signs of being in a rush to arrive.
The new Maternity building at University Hospital of North Staffs is really very nice, large rooms with an ensuite bathroom which has a nice deep bath in it. Our midwife – Michelle, was fantastic as well.
So if you’re in the area and you haven’t considered having a baby yet, this new facility could be just the thing to change your mind!!!
The girls at home have all decided that he is very cute. Even Charlotte likes to stroke his hair and give him a kiss every now and then.
He seems to have a pretty good appetite so far, no idea who he takes after there… and he definitely enjoys his sleep. We just wish he would enjoy a bit more of it at night time than he does at the moment!
So all we have to do now is rush out and buy loads of boys clothes for him as we didn’t any ready. The photo above is one of his first outfits.
Exclusive: First look video of Oscar doing not a lot in particular.
That’s all I’ve got time to write just now, I’ll try and keep a regular supply of photo’s and video’s appearing here, but for now I’ll end with another Oscar… he can play piano a little bit, apparently.
Original video has been removed – will put up another one later!
